报告摘要:This study presented the dynamic behaviors of burning and non-reacting droplets, specifically utilizing ethanol and n-decane, suspended on a thin wire under the influence of AC and DC electric fields. the research delineated how dielectrophoretic and electrostatic forces compete with surface tension to drive distinct physical phenomena. Under AC fields, three specific combustion regimes were identified: vertical droplet oscillation, oscillation coupled with dripping and electrospray, and flame extinction. specific scaling laws were established to predict oscillation amplitudes and critical transitions based on voltage and frequency. The study further highlighted DC-field induced behaviors and proposed advanced phenomenological models for droplet lifetime alongside future strategies for optimizing spray combustion through single-electrode configurations.
