讲座主题1:Recent Development in Thermochemical Conversion of Biomass for Energy and Fuels. (生物质能及燃料的热化学转化技术研究与开发进展)

内容简介:Heavily use of fossil fuel in the world has caused serious concerns on future energy supply and negative impact on environment. Biomass, originated from plants and trees, is a promising energy source, particularly for liquid and gaseous fuels, as it is renewable and carbon neutral. However, there are challenges in converting the biomass to energy and fuels which may include: high process costs, low conversion efficiency, and negative impact on environment. This seminar presents recent advances in research and development of thermochemical conversion technologies of biomass with focus on biomass gasification, pyrolysis and liquid fuel synthesis. Research programmes at University of Canterbury, New Zealand, will be discussed and selected international projects will be introduced. In addition, brief introduction will be given on New Zealand and University of Canterbury.

内容简介:Biomass has been recognised as one of the most promising renewable sources for future energy and fuels. The biomass has moisture content from 50% to over 150% in green, and thus must be dried to increase energy efficiency, improve energy product quality and reduce emissions during energy conversion. This seminar will present recent advances in biomass drying technologies and theoretical research. Required moisture contents in thermochemical conversion processes (combustion, gasification and pyrolysis) are examined. Energy and exergy analyses as well as environmental impact of the biomass drying are assessed. Impact of biomass moisture content on bioenergy plant performance is also discussed.
庞树声(Pang Shusheng)教授简介
新西兰坎特伯雷大学化学工程与工艺系教授、木材技术研究中心主任、新西兰工程院院士、国际木材科学院院士,国际学术期刊Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery、energies、MADERAS: Cienca y Tecnología 编委; 长期致力于生物质利用和木材加工技术的开发与研究,包括生物质能源,生物质的转化技术、新的木塑复合材料,生物高分子材料、废旧塑料再应用,和木材干燥与加工技术。先后承担和领导了新西兰国家(FRST/MBIE)基金资助重大项目三项,发表论文 160 余篇。
