报告摘要:1. Thousands of papers and researchs have been done in this topic with wide spectrum of divers’ data and prediction. Some authors reported significant enhancement in the rate of heat transfer, even by adding a few percentages of nanofluid heat transferred enhances by more than one-fold (more than 100%). On the other hand, a few researchers did not find significant effect of adding nanoparticles for a fluid. Others find that adding nano particle to a fluid will have negative effect on the rate of heat transfer.  How we can explain all of those published data?

2. An over review of methods used to solve Navier Stokes equation compared with LBM. The simplicity if LBM in coding and adding more physics to the problem will be explained. Also, a few examples from fluid flow and heat transfer will be explained.

报告人简介:Professor Mohamad is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers(ASME) and an Executive member of the Scientific Council for the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT). Professor Mohamad is the author of a popular text book on the Lattice Boltzmann Method Fundamentals and Engineering Applications with Computer Codes, which was published by Springer, 2011. His contributions to the fundamentals of heat transfer, computational methods of incompressible flow, transport and combustion in porous media a re we ll recognized by his peers . Professor Mohamad has published over 25 0 papers , mainly in peer reviewed journals, as well as contributed to the education of many undergraduate and graduate students. Majeed ha s never hesitated to help young researchers wit h his encouragements . In summary, he is the recipient of the Averroes Award(ICO ME17 meeting , July 2017) for his contribution to the educ at ion of many students a round the world.
