陈锐教授简介:

Professor Rui Chen, graduated in 1985 from Tianjin University, obtained the PhD at Loughborough in 1997, became a lecturer in Thermofluids in 1999 and the full professor and chair in Low Carbon Technologies in 2009. He is the Head of Low Carbon Technology Research Group at Loughborough University since 2015.

He has over 30 years’ experience of academic research and industrial development and was elected the fellow of Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in 2007. He is a member of science board of UK Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Hub and Energy Storage Hub. His research covers both modelling and experimental aspects of energy technologies in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, avionic thermal management, and combustion kinetics.

He has published over 200 academic research papers and has been awarded the Professional Engineering Publishing Award by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) for the best paper in 2006 and the Third Place winner of the 2013 Dr Bernard S. Baker Award for Fuel Cell Research. He has led numerous projects, secured over £6M research fund as the principle investigator and further £37M as a co-investigator, in collaborations with many leading industries include Ford, Mahle Powertrains, AVL, JLR, Intelligent Energy, Lotus engineering, BAE Systems, Airbus and Boeing etc.
