报告题目 1Basic Study on Laser Remote Analysis in the Nuclear Energy Field and its Application for decommissioning of “Fukushima”

报告简介:The concept of probing by light and diagnostic by light will be one of the powerful choices to accomplish the Remote Analysis in the Nuclear Fuel materials and Radioactive Waste materials. In this lecture, Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), Laser Ablation Resonance Absorption Spectroscopy (LAAS) and Resonance Ionization Mass Spectroscopy (RIMS) are introduced as the Innovative Elemental, isotope analysis without complex chemical process. Especially, LIBS for elemental analysis and LAAS for isotope analysis, will be discussed as quick, easy, onsite and in-situ remote analysis/surveillance/screening techniques of nuclear fuel debris under the extremely strong radiation condition in the decommissioning of “Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station”.

报告人简介:Dr. Ikuo Wakaida is a Division head of Remote System and Sensing Technology Division in Collaborative Laboratories for Advanced Decommissioning Science (CLADS), Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), Japan. He graduated from University of Tsukuba in 1980, earned a Doctor of Science in 1985. From 1985 He has been researcher in Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (After 2005, Japan Atomic Energy Agency). From 2005, he had been a group leader of “Research group for Laser Probing”. Since 2012, He started the research and development of laser remote analysis for decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in CLADS/JAEA, and had been the reader of several competitive projects.

His main activities are Remote In-situ Analysis for decommissioning of Fukushima by combination of Optical fiber-based Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy for elemental analysis and Laser Ablation Resonance Absorption Spectroscopy for isotope analysis.

报告题目 2Basic of laser diagnostics and its applications for Nuclear Energy fields

报告简介Recently, as a measurement technique with high sensitivity and fast response, laser diagnosis has been developed and applied to the actual industrial fields. Laser diagnosis, such as Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS), Mie Scattering, LII(Laser Induced Incandescence) and so on, have been applied to various field including Nuclear Energy fields. In this lecture, the basics of laser diagnostics and its applications for the nuclear energy fields are discussed to demonstrate the effectiveness of laser diagnosis in these fields.

报告人简介Yoshihiro Deguchi began his career in laser diagnostics with BE, ME, and DE degrees from Toyohashi University of Technology in 1985, 1987, and 1990. After receiving his DE, he worked as a research engineer in applied physics fields for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. for twenty years. He engaged in developing laser diagnostics such as tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, laser-induced fluorescence and laser Raman spectroscopy to apply these techniques to industrial fields. He moved to Tokushima University as a full professor in 2010. Dr. Deguchi has published research papers in the area of industrial applications of laser diagnostics. He is one of the leading engineers to put laser diagnostics into practical use, especially in large scale plants.
